jim & hameeda - part 2: wedding at Promontory Point, Chicago

this is the 2nd (and final) installment of jim and hameeda's AMAZINGNESS!!!

the final touches...


we had a little "first look", and the location was breathtaking!!  they were married at promontory point in chicago, and everything was spectacular!















the stunning flowers were provided by hello darling, and more on them later...much more!!  :)




hameeda, you are absolutely fabulous!!!


ok, let's talk about the flowers!  this definitely needs to be shared as one of the BEST flower ideas for a wedding i've ever seen!  now, at first glance these just look like bunches of gorgeous, beautifully modern, and expertly arranged flowers (natalie walsh at hello darling is a genius!!).  but...do you see the vases each bouquet is in?  every single vase (including a couple that decorated the ladies rest room) were found and purchased by hameeda.  as you can see they are all hobnail, milk glass, and/or jadeite style vases.  she found some on ebay, some at antique stores, but all hand picked by her!  and if THAT weren't enough, at the end of the night, she began giving these GORGEOUS vases away to her guests.  and, as i was saying my goodbyes to her, she hands ME ONE TOO!!!  i nearly cried!  it was beautiful, and RIGHT UP my alley, style-wise!!  by far the BESTEST parting gift i've ever received!!!  here are just a few of the gorgeous flowers in their amazing vases...


and here is the vase and flowers i received from hameeda!  every time i look at it, it just makes me smile!!  :D 


hameeda's family came in early and hung all those paper lanterns.  i loved the pops of color they added!!

here comes the bride!


they both wrote their own vows (i LOVE when bride and grooms do that!!), and jim's was probably the most beautiful, thoughtfully written vows i have ever heard!  he had everyone reaching for a kleenex...including yours truly!

after dinner, hameeda did a little costume change into a more dance-appropriate dress.  (her wedding gown was beyond stunning, but it wasn't quite the type of outfit she'd be able to dance around in.)  check out jim with his sexy lady cutting the cake...








since she changed clothes, i begged for a little session quickie...

i'm not gonna lie, when i look at this picture, the first thing i notice are hameeda's dainty little ankles.


ok, ok, ok, so in addition to being able to build a wedding arch, write vows that can make a photographer teary-eyed...jim is a doctor by day, and i guess DJ JAZZY JIM by night.  because during the reception, jim busted out his mad DJ skills on the turn tables!  he was REALLY scratching in this pic...for REALZ, YO!!

it was an extraordinary night, and thank you SO MUCH jim and hameeda, and all your friends and family for being so wonderful!!!
