wedding open house at the oscar swan

well, last sunday 04-06-08 was the wedding open house at the beautiful oscar swan inn in geneva, il. this year was bigger and better than last year with the addition of many new vendors, such as:

the united entertainers - DJs and vocalist (they organized the open house)


simply perfect by melissa - wedding and event coordinator, bridal consultants


turning point productions - videographer and professional video productions


wedding flower lady - wedding florist (exactly as their name suggests)







cosmopolitan limo - limo services

senteamental moods - specialty teas for gifts and wedding favors

ann janson - mary kay makeup artist

In addition to the great vendors, I was able to meet some really fun and beautiful engaged couples! instead of just sitting and telling the couples about myself and my style, i thought it would be better to show them how i work by giving all interested couples a complimentary engagement session. the photos were taken on the grounds of the oscar swan.

couple #1 - justin and jennifer (the first couple of the day, they got the ball rollin!)

couple #2 - alan and claire (they were naturals in front of the camera and kept it really natural and relaxed.)

couple #3 - david and rachael (so funny!! david said i look like natalie wood, i had to google her name to see if that was a compliment or insult.)

couple #4 - justin and jennifer (yes! there were 2 couples with the same name!)

couple #5 - clint and angela (i will be photographing their wedding in august)

couple #6 - caleb and becky (they just got engaged 2 weeks ago!)

all in all, it was a great day, and we were really lucky that it was sunny and warm! i met some great people, and i wish them all the best!
