This photo was probably one of the first photojournalism photographs on record. It was taken by a Scottish Victorian photographer/traveler John Thomson. It is a woman on the streets of London entitled "The Crawlers", and was taken circa 1876-1877.
It is truly inspiring! Beautifully composed, detailed, and perfectly lit to create a dark and grim image of the hardships of the poor areas of London at the time.
